Location: western mountain range.

Ambato is a comercial city and it has a modern achitecture because of the earthquake in 1949 that destryed most of it. That's the reason for which we found only few old bulidings such us: Juan Montalvo House, Bolivar High School, Quinta de Mera and others. It is also surrounded by beautiful volcanos such us Tungurahua, Chimborazo and Carihuayrazo.

PLACES YOU CAN VISIT IN AMBATO

The Montalvo Park that was built in honor to Juan Montalvo who was a famous writer from Ambato. The Quinta de Mera Park which is like a big forest, it is joined to the Ambato River. It has wonderful views The Catedral Church that is located in downtown. It is also interesting to visit the center of the city because of the house styles which are very beautiful and the shopping centers too. Those and more are beautifil places you can't miss to visit in Ambato City.
